They will resolve a great doubt that Stranger Things 4 left

Recently the brothers Duffer, commented a little about the possible date for the fifth season of Stranger Things , which could arrive at some point in 2024 . And with all the plot that addressed the last batch of chapters, it was concluded that a great doubt will be clarified when the public is finally witnessing the final season.

One of the strange tracks that Nancy found in episode 7 of this fourth season was her diary, which has the last frozen entry in time, specifically about three years in the past. That is just the period of time in which all anomalies began with the group of friends, the first being the disappearance of Will Byers.

This is what the brothers Duffer commented on whether that mystery of Hawkins frozen will be resolved or at least explain in the final end of the franchise:

We really wanted to give the audience many of the great answers about Upside Down, there are still some question signs in the fifth and final season.

The greatest sign is the one we established at the end of volume 1 with the world stuck in time on the day of Will's disappearance. That is something that we do not respond in volume 2, and that is really the key point of the plot. It will be the key question that will boost our last season while we try to conclude this story and give the rest of the answers.

They also commented on the victory of Vecna and the opening of the four doors to the real world:

We knew that this was going to be the penultimate season, so we could do many things that we could not have before, such as the collision of the four doors. We have always wanted Upside Down invaded Hawkins in a more massive way. We hint a little in the second season, but we want a complete invasion of the Upside Down, and that is something that simply cannot be stopped.
