Rian Johnson's trilogy of Star Wars is still standing?

One of the most detested films by fans of Star Wars is The Last Jedi, which contributed situations of stories that did not contribute too much to the universe created by George Lucas. Rian Johnson was not praised by many, it seems that the director is still excited to work for what follows in this franchise.

In statements to the medium of Empire, Johnson said he would be disconsolate if he finished his work time in the universe of Star Wars . This is what he declared:

I kept close to Kathleen Kennedy and we often gathered and talk about that. It is only at this point a matter of schedule and when it can happen. I would break my heart if I finished, if I couldn't return to that sand box at some point.

In 2017 a trilogy directed by Johnson was announced, which remained in the background for some years, with Johnson occupied with the franchise Knives out and Star Wars focusing on his list of upcoming series. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the trilogy was suspended, but still plan to resume it in the future.
