New look at Songs of Conquest, which launches its early access

There is undoubtedly a German word to designate the feeling of launching with hindsight and apprehension a video game that we had too idealized before finally touching it. The despair produced by the disappointment is only more pronounced when, after almost three years of feverish waiting, we had time to imagine a perfect game, whose mechanics would be as refined as its aesthetics. A time also spent revisiting the Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, influence claimed by Lavapotion, the studio behind Songs of Conquest. And then everything collapses. The long -awaited Messiah has bad breath and his sermons make you want to convert to another religion. Perhaps we must see the disenchantment of yet another journalist with the lubies far from representing those of the general public. Hopefully it is true, because nothing would be more sympathetic than seeing this love letter with the tactical RPG game of yesteryear finding its audience.

GIVE AWAY + Gameplay Impressions for Songs of Conquest (Early Access LAUNCH)

Only two months separate us from the first provision of Songs of Conquest to the press and the Elogious Preview of Father Fidalbion, describing a game which has obviously not changed at all. With an exit in early access this May 10, these are now two scripted campaigns and several skirmish cards that are made available to the public, and which we were able to travel. Unfortunately, if the English football lover has been able to appreciate the scent of this Proust madeleine of the PC role -playing game, this is not the case for your servant, despite a level of stratospheric waiting that prompted to Relaunch Heroes of Might and Magic V , the last good part of the series, after fifteen years spent in a closet. The selflessness was such that even the mediocre test King’s Bounty 2 had not started enthusiasm in the face of what was announced as the whole rebirth. No, all you needed was playing Songs of Conquest for a few hours.
